SFE WORKING GUIDES / WEB
Review the customer journey before launching a website
A launch check should follow the journey a real visitor needs to complete. A visually finished page may still have a broken enquiry form or an unclear payment step.

Set up the record
List the important pages and actions. Review navigation, contact links, form validation, mobile layouts and error states. Record the actual device or browser used so another person can reproduce an issue.
Use it in the workflow
Put each problem in the issue register with expected and observed behaviour. Assign an owner and retest after a fix. Review metadata and sharing previews, but do not confuse correct tags with guaranteed search visibility.
Review and maintain
Keep the approved launch evidence and rollback arrangements with the project. This checklist does not certify accessibility, security or performance and does not run automated tests.
Apply the routine with your own records.
A working preview site, key customer journeys, test devices and a fix owner. Start with a small working copy so the team can agree field meanings before adding its full record set.
Keep a blank master, nominate an owner and decide when the records will be reviewed. If the workflow needs automatic validation, shared permissions or integration with another system, treat that as a separate software requirement.
This guide supports the stated manual workflow. It is not a substitute for your organisation’s approved procedures or professional advice where required.
