Prepare website content before design starts
A website project moves more smoothly when every page has a purpose and an owner. Collecting text at the last minute often produces repeated claims and missing customer information.

Set up the record
For each page, identify its audience, main question and primary action. Prepare factual service details, evidence you have permission to use and the contact route you want customers to take.
Use it in the workflow
Use the approval register to record revisions and decisions. Check names, pricing, image rights and contact details before sign-off. A draft marked approved should be distinguishable from an older working copy.
Review and maintain
Hand the planner to your designer with the source assets organised by page. The pack does not write your copy, design a website or publish content.
Apply the routine with your own records.
A page list, service details, approved brand assets and content reviewers. Start with a small working copy so the team can agree field meanings before adding its full record set.
Keep a blank master, nominate an owner and decide when the records will be reviewed. If the workflow needs automatic validation, shared permissions or integration with another system, treat that as a separate software requirement.
This guide supports the stated manual workflow. It is not a substitute for your organisation’s approved procedures or professional advice where required.
