Gold cost estimate, quotation and invoice: know the difference
Use the SFE worksheet to plan a purchase without mistaking an illustration for a seller’s quotation, invoice or gold reservation.
AI-generated concept artwork, not a Kanika product photograph. An estimate helps you prepare
An estimate combines an assumed weight, a rate and whatever charges you know. It is useful for a budget conversation, but it does not prove a particular item is available or that a seller will accept the amount. Our downloadable worksheet clearly identifies its source rate and your inputs so you can review them with Kanika.
A quotation comes from the seller
Ask Kanika for the exact item, confirmed weight, full charges and the period for which its quote applies. If a seller issues a pro forma document, check what it says about payment, stock and validity. SFE’s illustration is not issued by Kanika and is deliberately not presented as its pro forma invoice.
Missing fees make an estimate incomplete
The worksheet starts with charges left blank. It displays a partial estimate until both charge fields are filled. Enter zero only when it is the assumption you intend to use; doing so does not mean Kanika has confirmed there are no fees. Any applicable tax belongs in the other-charges amount supplied by the seller.
Payment and confirmation remain separate
No payment is due to SFE from using this worksheet. Continue to Kanika’s official app or confirmed showroom process, review the final amount there and retain the official transaction record. An estimate, an outgoing link and a pending payment are not evidence of a completed gold purchase.
